Some great lessons Kate thanks. Often when we are in tough spots and have to make a lot of decisions where the outcomes are largely unknown, then it’s vital to make the decisions quickly with the best available knowledge and then just move on to the next thing. Delaying and overthinking and not making decisions is often worse than making a poor decision and making progress. Timing is everything in farming and if you get stuck on something it can be really costly. And the experience of making decisions in these circumstances is a real learning opportunity and gives confidence to back your judgement and have a go.
Awesome life advice that I will be using soon.

Thanks Alan, I love how often the sports lessons apply in farming. Maybe I should write an entire piece…or we collaborate on it! ;)
Thanks Kate, I always see a lot of common ground and what you write resonates with my experiences with farming and life.
